Why do I need a FireFone disabled refuge system?

The Disabled Discrimination Act 2004, the Regulatory Reform Order and current building regulations make it part of fire safety law to provide a safe means of refuge for disabled persons in the event of a fire or emergency.
Non-domestic buildings with more than one storey must provide a means of refuge for any person who cannot easily use fire escapes or stairs during an emergency.
The regulations state that an effective two way communication system that meets BS5839:pt9 must be in place for these refuge areas in order to assist rescue personnel in determining where help is required and to reassure the refuge occupant that assistance is on the way.

Praise indeed!

It’s always nice to be told you are doing a good job, and when a customer takes time to write to say you did a good job, you know you are doing something right!
Paul, in our customer service department received not one, but two in as many weeks.

The first was from the Operations Manager of a national security installer who wrote:

“Dear BC Technology,

I would just like to say how good your service and help has been resolving an issue for us. Paul has spent the time to trace a type of circuit board for us and send it out same day.

People are quick to comment on poor service however it is nice to be able to praise people for going the extra mile.

Many Thanks”

The second came the following week from an Officer at a north-east local authority:

“Dear Paul,

As promised please accept our written confirmation that the bracket and Perspex viewing panel have been received by this office and successfully installed yesterday afternoon.

Can I repeat our thanks and appreciation for the excellent service offered by BC Technology and your good self regarding this matter”

Just like Paul, all of our staff are ready to help you in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner. Please put us to the test!
